Adrian Summer Recreation Coordinator
Adrian School District #511 is accepting applications for a summer recreation coordinator/supervisor to develop summer programming for pre K through 8th grade students. Duties would include scheduling and supervision of skill development activities for baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball and other recreational activities. Special Education Teacher
Job Description: A FTE Elementary Special Education Teacher for the 2008-2009 school year.
Coaching opportunities available in Girls Softball, Volleyball and Boys Basketball.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a valid Minnesota Teaching license with Special Ed endorsements.
- Strong background in Elementary core content.
- Candidate will be responsible for case management of special education students.
- Complete required due process procedures with mandated time frames.
- Knowledge in appropriate assessment procedures and tools.
- Able to analyze assessment data and make appropriate recommendations.
- Develop Individual Educational Plans based on assessment data and student need.
- Develop and provide programming based on IEP.
- Successful experience providing developmental skill instruction in the areas of reading, language arts, math and social skills curriculum.
- Has demonstrated knowledge in using a variety of behavior management strategies.
- Has previous experience teaming with special and regular education staff.
- Evidence of positive communication skills with parents, staff and outside resources.
- Evidence of successful working experience with this age level of students.
- Experience conducing a functional behavior assessment and developing a positive behavioral plan.
- Strong curriculum background with experience teaching core content curriculum and with teaching strategies.
- Able to supervise paraprofessionals as they assist students.
